"In July, when my brother was murdered, I learned something about forgiveness that was at a different level. A pastor said something like, "There are going to be people who say that you need to forgive the person that did this evil act. I'm here to tell you that, no, you don't. What all of you need to do, and what I recommend that you do, is ask God to work in your heart to make you willing to forgive... because, if there is no repentance and no remorse shown by the person who committed this horrendous crime, then there is no forgiveness to offer." That was a game-changer for me and my remaining siblings. We will never forget what a younger brother did to our other brother. Never. And, at this point in time, we don't need to forgive him... unless, of course, we find ourselves being bitter, angry, rotted-out people. Then, "forgiveness" is more of a "letting go" and moving on, so you can heal." - Doris Little
