Sometimes, I have brief moments when I am reminded of my past mistakes, failures, and poor decisions. I am reminded of people I should not have allowed into my life and other things I should have never done or gotten involved in. Not long ago, I came across these words, and they helped me so much... "God put our sin on his Son and punished it there. Your sins have been placed on Jesus. Jesus receives the blow. And since Christ is between you and God, you don’t. The sin is punished, but you are safe—safe in the shadow of the cross!" - Max Lucado

"What do we do with disappointment? What do we do with defeat? The same thing every successful person has ever done: We wipe off our sweat, toss our worn and tattered jerseys in the wash, and we move on." - Tony Evans

"It doesn't matter what the odds are on paper, what's happened before. It matters what happened that moment. There's a lot of times in practice, times before and after the fight, and when I get out there I just think, "You know what? The time's right now. You've got to make it happen right now. It can't be an hour ago. It can't be tomorrow. It can't be during practice. It has to be right now." - Holly Holm

"A dysfunctional mindset has the tendency to blame its excesses, obsessions, rages, tantrums and behaviors on past experiences. Make the choice to become more than what has happened to you." - TDJ

"Every person has two main files in their memory system. The first file is filled with all the good things that have happened to us -- our victories and accomplishments, the things that have brought us joy and happiness. The second file is filled with all the negative things -- our hurts and pains, defeats and failures, things that brought us sadness and sorrow. Throughout life, we can choose which file we access. Some people repeatedly return to file number two and relive the painful things that have happened to them. They practically wear out file number two, and they never get around to exploring file number one. If you want to be free, if you want to overcome self-pity, throw away the key to file number two. Keep your mind focused on the good things God has done in your life."

"Here is the AMAZING thing about GOD... HE can take the painful chapters of your life and make them into something beautiful. You see, my story may have had some dark chapters, but I NEVER forget that GOD is ALWAYS holding the pen... And, no matter how deep the lows may be, I am comforted by the fact that GOD can rewrite the story! More reason to PRAISE HIS NAME!" - RK

"Don't waste another minute trying to figure out why certain evil things happen to you and your loved ones. You may never know the answer, but don't use that as an excuse to wallow in self-pity. Leave it alone, and move on in your life. Trust GOD, and accept the fact there will be some unanswered questions in your life. Just because you don't know the answer, it does not mean one does not exist.
Each of us should have what I call an "I don't understand it" file. When something comes up, in which you have no reasonable answer, instead of dwelling on the "why," simply place it in this file and walk away from the emotional bondage in which you have been living." - TDJ

"We live in a world that worships pleasure. But, worshipping pleasure will destroy you. Actually, worshipping anything other than God will leave you empty. All addictions to pleasure are misguided attempts to fill the void left by not being intimately connected with our Creator. Every person who is addicted to a destructive habit really needs God. Every woman who pursues romance with the wrong person is really looking for the love of God. Every teenager who is more attached to pleasing his friends over doing what’s right is looking for God. Have you found what you’re looking for? His name is Jesus." - Francis Anfuso

"Don't hold on to your History at the expense of your Destiny. Fuel your future instead of feeding your past." - TDJ
