My precious niece, Jessie, found her dad (my brother) Lary's devotional book on the counter in his kitchen. She sent me a picture of the book. Lary had placed a bookmark in it, showing what he had read. On the day Lary's life was taken, this is what he read, and this is what the pastor read at Lary's burial service...

Hear my prayer, O Lord,
For to whom else can I go.
Only You have the words of eternal life.
-Amen

I am so grateful to God for Lary's life and for his faith in God to believe and know that, when he prayed, God heard him and that God was his refuge and strength. What an incredible, humble, and wonderful man! I'm am so honored to be Lary's sister. As one very special person said, "Godly man down, but not forgotten." I love you, Lary! I miss you, so much!
