"One of the things that keeps us from moving forward with someone else is that we keep looking back on previous relationships and think that they were all that, when they weren't. We think that, because there was great sex, the relationship was great. No it wasn't. Sex doesn't hold a relationship together. We think that the person had SO many good qualities. We think the person was SO good looking. Well, something wasn't right, because if their qualities were all that, and if their looks were all that, they would probably still be around. We need to see people and situations for what they are and were—and not be preoccupied with some cloudy illusion of what makes us feel good about why we chose to be with them in the first place."-Doris Little
