We’re brought to the edge of hopelessness. Paul the Apostle thought he and some early disciples might not survive the difficulties they were experiencing. He wrote, “We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life.” (2Corinthians 1:8b, NIV) Holocaust survivor, Corrie ten Boom, recounted how God met her saying, “There is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still.” We will all come to the end of ourselves. But in that moment may we reach out for the loving hand of our Creator. He alone knows our struggle and longs to save us."-Francis Anfuso
