"I think one of the best pieces of advice I ever came across is when I
learned to be the best "single" I could possibly be. Single... not
defined as a "status"... but single defined as being "separate, unique,
and whole." When we work on becoming the best separate,
unique, and whole person we can be, we will have enough to do. Then,
the ideal would be to meet someone who is also separate, unique, and
whole. Then, you can have these two "single" (separate, unique, and
whole) people who can enter into what would hopefully
be a healthy relationship... because there would be no co-dependency and
enabling going on. This is what I have learned, observed, and
experienced."-Doris Little
