"I have found that 'I'll call you,' 'I'll be in touch,' 'I'll e-mail you,' and 'We'll talk soon' can also mean 'Sincerely Yours.' I have been out with guys who say those things, with no intention of doing any of it. They say they will call; they say they will be in touch; they say they will e-mail; they say we will talk soon... and it never happens. All of those things, in reality, meant 'Sincerely Yours.' So, now, when a guy tells me any of those things, I make sure to ask him what does his words mean to him. Usually, he will ask me what I mean. So, I tell him. And, even after I explain it, and they say their words don't mean 'Sincerely Yours,' sure enough it was 'Sincerely Yours' after all, because they never did call, e-mail, or stay in touch. That tells me a lot about their character and whether or not they are a man of their word."-Doris Little
