"Don’t try to make people change…pray for them and let God do the changing." I would also add, through experience, that it is even better if we pray for God to change us! Oftentimes, change needs to begin in us first. I have learned, if God is working in us, He is also working in those who are connected to us. We don't have to focus so much on the other person, because what needs to be done in us is plenty, and it will keep us busy. :)
