"Are you waiting for that hurt, hang-up, or habit just to go away over time? If you are, you're going to be waiting a long, long time. You see, time doesn't heal all wounds! If fact, if our wounds, our pain, are left alone to heal over time they will fester and get worse. Only God can free us from our pain and hurts. Only He has the power to heal our wounds." - Pastor John

"You know your Goliath. He taunts you with bills you can't pay, people you can't please, habits you can't break, failures you can't forget. But just like David, you can face your giant, even if you aren't the strongest, the smartest, the best equipped, or the holiest. God is bigger than your biggest challenge! Your challenges provide an opportunity for God’s power to be manifested." - Max Lucado
“Sometimes we need to step back and not always think of ourselves first. If doing something we want to do might cause harm to someone, how can it be the “right thing” to do? There are times when we might need to give up our desires because pursuing them might not be the “right thing” to do.”

"When we treat ourselves badly it makes us feel badly and when we feel badly we sometimes revert to our old addictions, whatever they may be. Today I will choose life and recovery by taking care of ME!" - PH
"If God has been removing things out of your life, He is purging to make room for something new. This process of letting go can be difficult, but don't worry, you will not suffer lack. He will always replace it, or become it, He will fill the void! God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory. - Philippians 4:19 Trust Him." - TDJ

"Sometimes God already knows that you're wrong, but He gives you time to repent. He just sets you into an environment where you could confess by giving you an opportunity to get it right...giving you an opportunity to lay before God and say, "Lord I messed up, and I need your touch." But, instead of you submitting yourself and throwing yourself at His mercy, you're so slick that you lay blame on everyone else but you. God is not asking you about others; He is asking you about you!"-TDJ
My former life of addiction was filled with empty promises. Things were always going to be better tomorrow, but sadly they never were. Now in recovery, all the things I wanted are coming true.
1. A meaningful life
2. Hope
3. Peace
4. Freedom
5. Real relationships
And all of this was brought on because in my recovery I surrendered to Jesus Christ. - Mac CR natl. Dir. West

"When we learn to release our offenders and allow God to be in charge of settling scores, then we will discover the wonderful blessing of His peace. The Bible tells us to “let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” You get to choose what rules your heart. It can be the misery of unforgiveness or the peace of Christ." - Pastor John

"If we remain stuck in the yesterday or constantly worry about tomorrow, we will waste the precious time of the present... And it is only in the present that positive change and growth can occur." - John Baker

Thought for the Day: “If you find yourself stuck in a rut, don’t dig yourself deeper in with negative thoughts. Turn your thoughts to God, ask for His strength to sustain you, and keep your focus on the good things that lie ahead of you. By relying on God and keeping your thoughts positive, you’ll be moving forward again before you know it.” I hope you have a wonderful day today my friends! – Elmer Laydon

"For what it's worth: it's never too late or, in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be. There's no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you're proud of. If you find that you're not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."-Benjamin Button
"Grief is not a mental illness, but it sure feels like one sometimes. Jesus understands. Next to the tomb of his dear friend, “Jesus wept.” And in His tears we find permission to shed our own. Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 7:3, “Sorrow is better than laughter, for sadness has a refining influence on us.” Go ahead. Face your grief. Permit yourself tears. God understands, and He will get your through this."-Max Lucado
"Solomon said, “There is a time to mourn!” Give yourself some. Face your grief with tears, time, and one more—face your grief with truth. God has the last word on death. And if you listen, He will tell you the truth about your loved ones. They’ve been dismissed from the hospital called Earth. You and I still roam the halls, smelling the medicines. They meanwhile, inhale springtime. You miss them like crazy, but can you deny the truth? They have no pain, doubt, or struggle. They really are happier in heaven. Reunion is a splinter of an eternal moment away. I Thessalonians 4:13 says that there is no need for you “to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.” God understands. He knows the sorrow of a grave. He buried His Son. But He also knows the joy of resurrection. And by His power, you will too."-Max Lucado

"Early on in my recovery one of the character defects my sponsor helped me tackle was becoming a man of my word. He told me the pathway to hell was paved with good intentions. On the flip side being on the pathway to heaven required putting those good intentions into action. Not that I could earn my salvation, far from it, but because I was saved, putting good intentions into practice and keeping my word became a huge part of the man God wanted me to be." - Mac CR Natl. Dir. West
“It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default.” - J.K. Rowling

"Why would you be weeping and worrying over one step in the whole topography of your life? You can’t judge your life by where you are in this moment. Do you not know that where you are will pass? What you’re worried about will pass? Don’t you understand that, one day, you’ll look back and laugh at the thing that kept you up all night? Don’t you understand that it’s not nearly as major as you thought it was?" - TDJ

“A kind word to someone can change their day and quite possibly their life. Since we have an unlimited number of opportunities to spread a word of hope, acceptance, and love to others, there is no need to hold back and wait for another time to do so. Seeing the result of a kind word can change your day as well.” I hope you have a fantastic day today my friends! – Elmer Laydon
"Introducing someone to Jesus and seeing their lives change for eternity is the greatest joy of my life! Celebrate Recovery happens to be the best vehicle I have ever seen to get them there." - Mac CR Natl. Dir. West
"Prostitutes are in no danger of finding their present life so satisfactory that they cannot turn to God: the proud, the avaricious, the self-righteous, are in that danger." — C.S. Lewis
"When life's storms come, I may look into the dark sky & say "God, a little light please?" Then I remember--Jesus, light of the world." - Max Lucado

Some of you are working a job right now that is beneath your purpose or destiny... and you're frustrated because it feels like a dead end position... and it feels like there is somebody at your age and stage making more money... you feel you should be further. Where you are right now is not your destination. It's just a process. It's preparation for what God is about to do next in your life. It may not be the thing that you are ultimately going to do. It may not be the thing that lines up with your prophesy. It may not be the thing that you were trained to do or the thing that you dreamed of doing. But, God said it is the thing that leads to the "THING." - TDJ
