"There is no question whether an event has happened because of your prayer. When the event you prayed for occurs your prayer has always contributed to it. When the opposite event occurs your prayer has never been ignored; it has been considered and refused, for your ultimate good and the good of the whole universe." - C.S. Lewis
"No matter what is happening around us, God is sovereignly working everything together for His glory and our good." - Charles Stanley

"Nothing or no one can touch us apart from the Lord's knowledge and will. Although we may not always understand why He allows heartaches, tragedies, or burdens in our lives, we can trust that His way is always best and that He’ll walk with us through the hardships." - Charles Stanley

“When you are in the final days of your life, what will you want? Will you hug that college degree in the walnut frame? Will you ask to be carried to the garage so you can sit in your car? Will you find comfort in rereading your financial statement? Of course not. What will matter then will be people. If relationships will matter most then, shouldn't they matter most now?” - Max Lucado

I'm so needing this today (I miss you, Lary)... “We see a hearse; we think sorrow. We see a grave; we think despair. We hear of a death; we think of a loss. Not so in heaven. When heaven sees a breathless body, it sees the vacated cocoon & the liberated butterfly.” - Max Lucado
"Your pain won’t last forever, my friend, but you will. Whatever we go through now is less than nothing compared with the magnificent future God has planned for us! You’ll get through this! God is good even when the outcome is different. Hang onto this promise!"- Max Lucado

"Sometimes, it's not that they've changed, it's that they show themselves for who they truly are... and you were paying attention." - Charles J. Orlando
"We all experience remorse, disgust with ourselves over the wrong we have done when we are found out by it, but the rarest miracle of God's grace is the sorry that puts an end forever to the thing for which I am sorry. Repentance involves the receiving of a totally new disposition so that I never do the wrong thing again." - Oswald Chambers

1. Say this: "I'm blessed & I'm a blessing." It'll really help you start the day with a right attitude and focus.
2. Say this: "I'm so thankful" Having a thankful spirit, even in the midst of trials will help you immensely.
3. Say this: "I was made to encourage."
Think about the people you are going to be around today and ask God to give you the right words to encourage them. - Joyce Meyer

"We are not intended to understand Life. Life makes us what we are, but Life belongs to God. If I can understand a thing and can define it, I am its master. I cannot understand or define Life; I cannot understand or define God; consequently I am master of neither." - Oswald Chambers

One of my precious girlfriends became a long-distance friend of my best friend/brother, Lary, whose life was taken three months ago. She blessed Lary in so many ways, and he valued her friendship, although they never met face-to-face. Lary had the greatest head of gray hair at an early age, and he rode motorcycles for many years. He was working on his V-Rod, when he was killed. Today, my precious girlfriend sent me this picture. It made her smile and sad, at the same time. We miss you, Lary, so much!! We will see you in "just a little while." ♥

"If you're unhappy in a relationship, you can always move on... *but*... the lessons YOU still have to learn will follow you to your *next* relationship. Life hands us the same lessons until we learn what we need to learn. Once the lesson is learned, you won't repeat that mistake." - Charles J. Orlando

"All of my emptiness - the things that I hate about my past - is a space for God's Grace. Will I let it remain hollow or will I ask and let Him fill it up with redemption and purpose?" - Beth Moore
"Before the Spirit of God can bring peace of mind He has to clear out the rubbish, and before He can do that He has to give us an idea of what rubbish there is." - Oswald Chambers

"The greatest demand God makes of us is to believe that He is righteous when everything that happens goes against that faith." - Oswald Chambers

I have been asked to give my testimony to Henderson Hills Celebrate Recovery on Monday @ 6:30 p.m. I pray that my story glorifies God, brings hope to others, and honors my best friend/brother, who was murdered in July. I am so grateful for this opportunity!
