Today, I heard this on the K-Love radio station. I really like this..."Some day, this world will fold up like a tent, and Jesus will still be the LORD." :)
I like this..."When you feel down because you didn't get what you want,
just sit tight and be happy, because God has thought of something better
to give you."

"If God had a refrigerator, your picture would
be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.
He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart. What about the Christmas gift He sent you in Bethlehem; not to mention that Friday at Calvary. Face it, friend. He's crazy about you."-Max Lucado

"We need to be surrounded by people who are coaxing you to produce your highest and best self...not people who are trying to squash you and devour you and consume you and belittle you...but people who see something in you. You need to be reminded, each day, that there is something in you that is more important than the circumstances around you."-TDJ
"It is through our adversity that our strength is developed. If everything went the way you wanted it to go, you wouldn't have anything to exercise by. It is in the gymnasium of life that you get to work out and find out things about yourself...things you didn't know...things like you're stronger than you thought you were or that you're tougher than you thought you were...and that self-respect stops you from being at the mercy of people to validate you to make you feel good about who you are."-TDJ
"You have got to learn to appreciate that the stones that the builders reject often becomes the chief cornerstone. You cannot spend the rest of your life weeping about who forsook you, who left you, and the job that you didn’t get, and the opportunity that didn’t happen. If it was good for you, you would have gotten it. Everything that was closed off is a sign that it wasn’t good for you. It is the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Every good and perfect gift comes down from above. If God didn’t give it to you, it’s a sign that you didn’t need it, and you need to rest in the sovereign will of God...for God has a plan for your life."-TDJ

For me, this quote is true. I would not be doing what I do, through the clinic I volunteer at, had it not been for what I've been through..."I have never seen anybody who did extraordinary feats that didn't have extraordinary issues. It is the passion that gives you the power you need, but it is the pain from which you have the conviction about it. If you had not been through some pain, you wouldn't have the burning to do what you do."-TDJ

One of my Facebook friends posted this quote. I love these words..."God has not called me to be successful, He's called me to be faithful."-Mother Teresa
"If only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me." Acts 20:24

This afternoon, I was talking to God about something I found out that I simply do not understand. I found myself thinking, "I don't understand this at all. There's nothing I can do about it. Some day, it will all make sense, I hope." Then, a few minutes ago, I came across these words..."I have learned that faith means trusting in advance what will only make sense in reverse."-Philip Yancey
One of my Facebook girlfriends posted this..."Ladies, don't mistake comfortable and convenient for commitment and covenant."
I like this..."No matter how chaotic the past has been, the future is
a clean, fresh, wide open slate. You are not your past habits. You are
not your past failures. You are not how others have at one time treated
you. You are only who you think you are right now in this moment. You
are only what you do right now in this moment." -Eckhart Tolle

I just came across this verse of scripture..."He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted." Job 5:9 God, would You please perform wonders that cannot be fathomed and miracles that cannot be counted in my life and in the lives of my precious boys, Jason and Drew? Thank you. In Jesus' name. Amen."
On my walk this evening, I heard this on the K-Love radio station..."Irreconcilable differences aren't ALWAYS impossible differences."
I came across these words, and tears came to my eyes..."Sometimes, I think about the past and fall apart inside." This is what would happen to me. I would think about the past and fall apart inside. I am grateful to God for the healing He has done in my life. Now, when I think about the past, I don't fall apart inside anymore.
Today, as with other days, I need to remember this...Please avoid the “What if” disease. “What if” goes against the decisions and provisions of God. “What if” is the cause of fluctuation of faith.-TDJ

"Life is too hard when you try to solve everything by yourself without involving God in it."-Unknown

I like this..."Sometimes it is necessary to limit or eliminate your contact with certain individuals who bring you more misery than peace and do not reflect or allow you to be the person that you truly are or aspire to become. Instead, surround yourself with positive thinkers who are not always creating drama. Choose people who make your day brighter simply by being around them. Find those who you admire; you are proud to know; and who support, motivate and encourage you to grow."-Lessons Learned in Life

This made me think for a moment..."Live your happiest life by making sure your long term faith stays stronger than your mood in the moment."-Karen Salmansohn
"People tend to become like those with whom they spend a lot of time. Even the negative characteristics sometimes rub off. The Bible exhorts us to be cautious in our choice of companions. Choose people with characteristics you would like to develop in your own life."-Life Application Daily Devotional
Today, I am grateful and happy because I got to go to brunch and spend time with both of my boys at the same time. The three of us hadn't been together since Christmas day. It felt like an early Mother's Day gift. :) Thank you, God, for Jason and Drew. Thank you for what they bring to my life. Thank you that they are my sons. ♥

Today, I was blessed to visit with a precious woman who ministers to drug abusers, alcohol abusers, homeless people, and incarcerated people. During our visit, she said, "I try not to walk in stupidity; but, when I do, the Lord protects me." Her words caught my attention, because I, too, have walked in stupidity, and God protected me. Thank you, God...so much!
One of my Facebook friends posted this, and it made me laugh..."Ravens are technically dirty birds. They have everything filthy in their mouths. Yet, God sent Ravens to feed Elijah. Sometimes, God doesn't bless you only through church folk.----- So, I thank Him for all the dirty birds He's used to bless me."-REK
